Hunter Morris
Founding Partner & Chairman
Hunter founded Triple Seven in 2021 after developing a love for ranch land and seeing firsthand its potential for stable long-term investment returns. This lifelong passion was ignited by watching his father, a professional roper who owned and operated a working cattle ranch. After years of Hunter’s own experience in the energy sector, it was evident that land investment offered a diversifying alternative to the volatility of commodities and public markets.
A native Oklahoman, Hunter graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in entrepreneurship. He set out for the Midland oilfield and then began his first business in 2013, SwiftWater Energy Services. The company grew to 300 employees before it was sold to a publicly traded competitor in 2018. In 2016, Hunter co-founded Trojan Hose & Pump and grew it until its acquisition by another public company in 2024. After these successful ventures, Hunter looked to land investment as a strategy for wealth preservation with additional upside for patient and timely capital. He started Triple Seven Land Co. and began to recruit the team of professionals that could fulfill this vision.
In his role as Chairman of Triple Seven Land Co., Hunter chairs both the Company’s Advisory Board and Investment Committee, and he provides strategic direction to the leadership team. In addition to these responsibilities, Hunter is the Executive Chairman of Triple Seven Cattle Co., Executive Chairman of Mach Energy Services, and CEO of Elevate Energy Services, overseeing the businesses’ strategic formation and leadership teams.
Hunter, his wife, Emily, and their two sons spend their free time running cattle and hunting at the Petree Ranch south of El Reno, Oklahoma on the Canadian River.
