Braden Merritt
Managing Partner
Braden joined Triple Seven in 2025 after leading one of Oklahoma’s largest private investment companies, Humphreys Capital, where he was President and COO. In contrast with his experience of institutional commercial real estate, rural land investment presented historically stable appreciation, lower exposure to leverage, and less efficient markets — conditions that advantage patient and timely capital.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Braden began his career as an infantry and reconnaissance officer in the Marine Corps. After combat deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and at sea with the U.S. Fifth Fleet, Braden received graduate degrees in business and economics from the University of Oklahoma and the French Institute for Petroleum (IFP School). He also studied corporate finance at the London School of Economics. Braden’s second career began as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group followed by financial program management for Google. In 2017, he joined Humphreys, where he helped manage a $1.4B commercial real estate portfolio.
As Managing Partner of Triple Seven, Braden is building an institutional-quality investment program to acquire and improve land that builds generational legacies.
Braden, his wife, Alissa, and their five children are in the process of building their home on the Persimmon Hollow Homestead near the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.
